We had a great dining experience at the Owl Cafe. We started with local raw oysters and crab cakes then, shrimp and grits, filet Oscar, chicken salad salad , fresh fish of the day. It was very cozy and we enjoyed ourselves. Our waitress was very king and attentive.
Wonderfull food. As usual I had Caesars salad and my wife had seafood. Nice staff asked often if we needed anything.
Absolutely loved our experience. Food and drinks were the best we had had in town. We will be back.
This was a VERY nice place for lunch. Had the shrimp po'boy and a chicken salad salad. It was a very nice, quiet place for lunch. It is in the upstairs of a vintage building (there is an elevator if needed). Our server (Monet) was very professional and friendly. Will definitely be stopping back when we're in the area!
I loved the Owl Cafe! We stopped in for lunch on Saturday and it was not overcrowded. There was an option for indoor seating or outdoors on the balcony. Our waitress was lovely and we had great service. There were paper covers over the white tablecloths and they have crayons for the children so we doodled on the paper while we waited on our food. I had the Cosmo to drink and it was delicious, and so was the fried shrimp. I will definitely be returning.
Historical Charm Meets Southern Hospitality! We have enjoyed dining at The Owl Cafe for over 20 years. The menu is diverse and offers culinary dishes you won't find anywhere else. We recently discovered "Duck Fries". The server made the recommendation and I am so glad she did. Fries cooked to perfection with a soft middle and crispy edges. Topped with duck crackling and cheese. I never knew I needed "Duck Fries" in my life until them. Now, I crave them repeatedly. The staff has knowledge about the food and wine they are serving and they cater to you. The Owl Cafe is an elevated food experience!
August 2024! We were lucky to get a table since the restaurant was packed, although it wasn’t high season. We had some great drinks and a really kind server. Even though they do not offer many vegetarian options they made me some delicious veggie tacos. The “catch of the day” was also really good. They had someone playing the piano which added to the nice atmosphere. It’s a bit pricey but definitely worth it because of the high quality food and service.
We had a group of 5 with multiple food restrictions & substitutions requested for our lunch here. The server was excellent & brought us all of our meals with no issue. The food was wonderful & the seating area nice & open. Outdoor seating was plentiful as well!
